Hot or Not Wednesday: Maybelline Baby Lips Balm and Blush

Hi everyone,
Today's post has actually been requested quit a lot after my random haul went up (link here), which this product was featured in. This Hot or Not is on the new Maybelline Balm and blush. I hope you enjoy!
Price:
Maybelline is a drugstore brand so this product was not expensive. It cost £5.99 but Maybelline do have offers so maybe wait until there is one so you can save a bit of money.

First impression:
I have only had this for a few days but I think it is a really lovely product to use for a very natural look. I think it would also be a great product for spring in summer as it is a cream product and is very glowy.

Packaging:
Personally, I like it, I think that it is super cute and colours are really pretty. I love how the colour on the top of the product shows the colour of the product so you don't get mixed up if you have lots of them. Some people might not like the packaging because it is small. Application might be hard as you can't get a perfectly good grip on the product.

How do you use it?
This is meant to be a two in one, a cream blush and a lip balm. You are just meant to apply straight onto the face and blend if need. It is suppose to be a very simple, on-the-go product.

What does it do?
If you were to use it as a lip balm, it gives a good tint to the lips but it also very moisturizing. As for the cream blush, it is very sheer but it adds a nice glow and a bit of colour to the cheeks.

Which are my favorites?
As you can see, I only have one shade out of the three they have released. In the shop they only had this shade in Flirty Pink which is actually the one I didn't want but I still bought it to try. I really want to try out the orange/peach shade though and they also have a red.

What are the negatives?
- Not very pigmented on the cheeks
- Shade doesn't flatter my skin tone
- Packaging is quit small

What are the positives?
- Creamy and silky
- Easy to use and apply
- Blendable
- Lasts a long time
- Great for on-the-go
- Lasts longer than a powder blush

Would I recommend it? And to who?
I would only recommend it to a beginner or someone who likes a very natural makeup look, only because it isn't very pigmented so it will be a great starting point for a beginner and it is a very natural product.

Hot or Not?
Both (can I say that?) I am honestly torn. I do like this product but I can't say I wasn't disappointed, because I was. I think the product is a really good concept and it is super quirky but I am not sure whether it is something I would use regularly. I think I will buy the peach shade and compare the two.

I hope you enjoyed this Hot or Not. Let me know in the comments what I should review next. Have a great day!
Grace xx

  5. I love that you were so honest about your uncertainty of the product! I might pick up the red because I always have to blend blush loads and loads but this seems like it might work for me xo
