Different Ways to Work Out in Summer!

Hi everyone,
At the moment I am quite enjoying my more random posts over my usually makeup posts, so I hope you don't mind. Anyway, today I am going to be sharing with you my favorite ways to workout in summer. Enjoy!

Working out isn't exactly the most exciting thing ever, but I love the feeling I get after working out. I feel like summer is the time to get fit because every wants to feel confident in their bikini body. When people hear working out, they immediately start to sweat because the thought of going the gym, scares them! But saying that, there are endless ways to get your exercise that doesn't involve going the gym, here are a few...

1. Swimming
For me swimming is the best form of exercise to do when the sun is shinning. By swimming a few lengths, you are working your arms, legs and core. Swimming is the perfect form of exercise to do when you want to cool down.

2. Dancing
I love dancing so much, I dance all year round but I always tend to love it more in summer. Depending on what type of dancing you do, you could be working your legs, arms, core, stamina etc. The great thing about dancing, is that you don't have to pay to go to professional classes, you and your friends can get together, every so often, and dance for fun.

3. Running
I know not everyone likes running, but I think at the right time, it's the perfect. Running is great for general cardio and it works every part of your body. Running for 20 minutes a few times a week will really improve your stamina and if you do it of a morning you are set for a healthier and more productive day.

4. Tennis
I love tennis in the summer, even though it can be played all year round, I love playing it outside in the sunny weather. In your local area, you might have some tennis courts and I would highly suggest you use them. Tennis is very good for cardio and strength. It gets your heart pumping but it is also fun. With a group of friends, the time will fly by and you will not even feel like you have worked out.

5. Biking
If you are lucky enough to have a bike I would highly suggest going on a ride with friends or family every now and again. It does a great job at working the legs and if you live in a nice place then you get to admire everything you cycle pass. I use to have a bike, now I don't, but I really wish I used it more, so if you do have a bike, please use it!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know whether you like these fitness style posts. Have a great day!

Just a Ramble - Pressure?

Hi everyone,
Today's post is just going to be something I have wanted to get off my chest for a long time. In no way is this aimed at anybody, I just really hope I get my point across. Please don't read if you are no way interested and I am sorry if you find this a post that was not worth reading. I just have lots of things I want to share and hope that someone out there feels a similar way.

Honestly, I am grateful for everything I have, from food to a house, from the latest clothes to an education, but not all the time am I happy with everything I have.
Not going to lie, I hate school, I hate each and every element of my school, but at least I get an education right? Some people in my school have gave me a negative outlook on a lot of things which has led to my self confidence becoming something I no longer have. School has gave me a very small handful of good things, an education and some friends. But is that worth all the negativity?
In case you didn't know, I go to a grammar school but I can imagine all secondary schools are like this. Every test, every piece of homework, every contribution I make to the class, is judged or compared. I am not the smartest person in the world, but is anyone? That is a simple answer, NO! But for some pathetic reason we are suppose to be the best of the best. Each and everyone of us. If we don't reach above our target we get put down, we get torn apart by everything holding us up. Being compared to someone with a completely different strength, weakness, talent, mindset, background and level to you is not the most effective way of getting us to become someone better. A wrong move in school can be noticed instantly, it will never be forgotten and so it will effect everything that comes after it.
I feel like as a new generation, a lot has changed. Our parents and older family members do not understand how current schools work. When you are predicted a certain level and you don't reach it, everyone around you makes it out like you are stupid.
No one is perfect and I think it is really unfair that all of our flaws are pointed out, but everything good we do is ignored and doesn't effect anything. Being perfect is impossible but even if it was, it would be boring. Our mistakes and flaws is what makes us individual and I think instead of being torn down by what we get wrong we should be praised for what we do right.

I hope that you didn't find this post too deep, and since exam season is currently taking place, I thought that this would be a little reassuring. Please let me know if you related to this and whether there are any other subjects you would like me to talk about. Have a great day!

April Favorites!

Hi everyone,
It's the first of May (WTH) and honestly, I still feel like it is February. Anyway as another month goes by, a favorites post comes so keep on reading to know what I have been loving this month!

Makeup
Nivea Men Post Shave Balm - Weird?! Ikr?! Everyone in the beauty world has not stopped talking about this, thanks to NikkieTutoirals. In case you are unaware of this product, it can basically be used as a primer, it contains glycerin which helps products stick to the base. When I first bought this, I was a little skeptical, but it works! I picked this up for only £4 and you get lots of product, it's a very watery consistency but a little goes a long way. You all probably know I went on holiday in April and since I got a little burnt, I needed a moisturizing and cooling base, this worked perfectly. Definitely my favorite drugstore primer!
ABH Contour Kit - Wow, this product gets me speechless! While I was in Orlando, my mum very kindly treated me to this in Sephora, and honestly I am so grateful! This comes with three contour and three highlight shades. I love this because I can use this palette for contouring, bronzing, face powder, under eye powder, highlighter and eye shadow, talk about an all in one palette! The powders are pigmented, creamy, bendable and just perfect. It's a great investment and I would highly recommend.
Maybelline The Colossal Go Extreme Mascara - If you have been following my blog for a long time, you will know that this was my favorite mascara last summer. When I ran out of it, I was super sad but found other mascaras I liked. Before going on holiday, I was on the hunt for the perfect waterproof mascara and since I knew how good this one was, I repurchased it. Honestly, why doesn't this mascara have a lot of hype, it's amazing! This holds a curl, gives length, gives volume and it does not budge but can still be removed when needed.

Skincare/ Body Care
Freedom Pro Fixing Spray - As I keep mentioning, while I was on holiday I got burnt and I needed something super cooling. I found this hidden away before I went to Florida and instantly packed it. When I was spending the whole day in the sun, I would pack this and spray it all over my face when I needed a cooling and refreshing mist over my skin. I also used it before applying my makeup to give it some moisture. This really helped to cool my face and I am so glad I brought it. It is very multi purpose and a good value for money.

Hair care
Pantene Repair and Protect, Dry Oil - This was a life saver while I was on holiday, with the heat and water this oil definitely made my hair still look healthy. I struggle with quite dry hair all year round and I was on the hunt for something that was going to nourish it. After I have washed my hair I will just apply a very small amount of this onto the ends of my hair and leave it to air dry. It really helps to give my hair a shiny look as well as making it super soft.

Fashion
PINK Swimsuit - Oh My, isn't this beautiful! I know you can't see it clearly in the photo but I will link it here so you can see it fully. I basically bought this while I was in Florida and during the holiday it was the only swimsuit I wore. It's so beautiful, I love the caging down each side and the print is to die for! Because it's PINK, it is slightly more pricey but the quality is amazing and I can tell I am going to wear it a lot.
Rummer Shorts - These shorts are the most comfortable things ever. They are from Forever 21, they cost £7 and they are just amazing! The quality of them is surprisingly nice and they are super comfortable to wear. I love the bright red with the white detailing, but I must go back and get more colours. They are a definite lounge wear must!

Music
DNCE Cake By The Ocean - I cannot get enough of this song, it is so amazing and I just love love love it. If you have not heard it, you absolutely need to, it has such a good beat and it is just a great feel good song.

Film/Tv/Books
Romeo and Juliet - Since I am in year 9, I am currently starting my GCSE's and so English is a compulsory subject. I have to read and understand the play Romeo and Juliet for some of my exams and so in my class we have already begun the work on it. At first I was told how boring and dull Shakespeare is, but since reading the play and watching both versions of the film, I have grown to love it. I think the concept of the book is so beautiful and meaningful, don't get me wrong it's sad but so fascinating at the same time. Shakespeare is a very controversial writer but I now love his work and can't wait to continue learning about what he wrote.

Random
Florida - Of coarse I could not write this post without mentioning my trip to Florida. Florida is honestly one of my favorite places and I am so lucky to have gone there another time. I had the most amazing time with my family and it was definitely one holiday I will never forget. If you want to see what I got up to, while I was away, I wrote a Week One post of Florida which is already up (Link is here) so you can check that out, and don't worry a Week Two will be coming very soon.

I really hope you enjoyed this post! Let me know in the comments what you have loved this month! Have a great day!
