STYLING SAINSBURY'S

I don't know about you, but I never think to look at the clothing offered in supermarkets. My local supermarket is Sainsbury's and over summer, I have accumulated some summer pieces they have to offer. I have two outfits to share today that I wore on holiday but do let me know if you like this post and I will be sure to do some more, especially with the seasons changing.
The first outfit is a more casual one and acted like a transitional bikini cover-up to a day outfit. These shorts are from Sainsbury's and I think that they are so perfect for a summer holiday. I love runner shorts as I just think that they are so comfortable and you can get some really cute ones, like these. I love these because of the quality of them. Although they are white, they are super thick and they just feel like amazing quality. I love the detailed, mesh layer on these shorts as I just think it makes them extra unique and stylish. Although I wore this in a more casual way, I also think these shorts would be so cute with little heels and a bralette for more of an evening look. The silver detailing and the quality of the shorts definitely make them feel and look more expensive than what they were.
Like I said, these shorts acted like a cover-up for my one piece, and I also paired the shorts with this mesh hoodie from H&M. I love tops like this because they are so lightweight and comfortable, perfect for a cooler day on holiday. I also think that together, the shorts and top worked really well.

The other outfit I have to share is more of a feminine, day outfit, still casual but can be dressed up really easily. I have never been one for floaty skirts, if I wear a skirt, it tends to be bodycon or A-line as I found those to be the most flattering, however, I have really experimented this summer and have found some new styles which I really love. This skirt is described as 'flippy' which I agree with as it is fitted at the top and then it frills out on the bottom. If I had seen this a few months ago I wouldn't have looked twice, but my mum encouraged me to try it and surprisingly I loved it. This is something I can see myself wearing loads more as it is so comfortable and easy to style. I love the print of this skirt as well because the colours in it make it so easy to style.
Styling this, I decided to pair it with a thick, strapped bodysuit in this muted blue shade. I love this bodysuit because the fit of it is so nice and I love the square neckline. The blue shade, I think, really suits the skirts and I also think that you could style the skirt with some brighter colours as well. A plain top I think suits this outfit well though as it makes the skirt the statement piece, which was definitely my intention. I also stuck with my white Vans just because they go with everything and are super comfortable.

BOLD LACE

I'm here today with yet another holiday outfit post. I won't lie, these are starting to make me really miss the hot, sunny weather, but I hope you are still enjoying them none the less. This outfit is a little more out there for me, but I really loved wearing it out, I'd love to know what you guys think in the comments.

The standout part of this outfit would definitely be the top, which is a long sleeve, high neck, lace top in white. Firstly, anything white is so perfect for summer/ post-summer because your tan just pops more in white. With that being a massive bonus, I love this top as I think it really makes a statement. I paired it with just a plain bra underneath but you could pair it with anything, even a pop of colour underneath would look super cute. Obviously, this top is just pure lace, there is no stretch so it isn't the most comfortable to wear, but I went a size up in it so it had a more boxy fit, which is just my preference. I do really love the design of lace on this top though, I think the frills on it make it look so cute and I love anything high neck, so although this is pretty bold for me, it is definitely still my style. A piece like this, I also think, is great for hot holidays because it can get cooler of an evening and you can get a little more coverage on a top like this which I loved, especially because I was super burnt that day, it just helped to hide it.
I perhaps styled this in the most boring way possible but I wanted to keep it comfy and casual as it was just a super chill evening. I just went for black denim shorts, which are so comfy because they have loads of stretch to them and my white Vans, because I wanted to keep the black and white theme. Obviously, there are so many ways this top could be style, either by adding a pop of colour or another texture, but like I said, I kept it comfy and simple, because that is pretty much my style.

In the future, I definitely plan on experimenting more with this top, especially in both casual and formal ways, so maybe you will see this appearing once again in the future.
I'd love to know how you'd style this top so please leave it in the comments!

PINK & MINI

If you haven't been following my blog or Instagram for the past week or so, then you may not know, that I have just come off my holiday. While I was in Fuerteventura, I managed to get a picture of most of the outfits I wore, so if you like fashion, or want to relive summer, then the next few posts may just do that. Hopefully, all of the holiday posts will be coming within the next few weeks, so I hope you enjoy them.
I love basic, comfortable clothing, I guess that is just my style. Something I can throw on with anything and still have it looking cute is what I love, but I definitely find it more difficult to shop for comfy clothes when it comes to the hotter months. Between chafing and sweating, most clothing pieces never stay that comfortable for long periods of times. Saying that I really feel like, this holiday, I have found some pieces that really work for me, including this mini dress.

When it comes to dresses, like most things, I am pretty particular. It needs to look flattering, stylish and be comfortable all at the same time. I can't say I have found this in many dresses, but this one is a winner. Bodycon dresses are definitely some of my favourites to go for as I find them to be super versatile to style and extremely comfortable, however, some can be really unflattering due to it hugging most places.
This dress is from Forever 21 (linked at the end) and I would describe it as a baby pink, ribbed, bodycon mini dress. When I saw this in store, I knew I'd end up buying it, but at the time I had other dresses to try on and test, this was the winner. What I love the most about this dress is the material. It is similar to a waffle material, it's super thick and so flattering on. I find that this bodycon dress holds a little more structure than other ones I have worn, due to this material which is amazing for not having to keep pulling it down all of the time. Saying that, it also has a lot of stretch to it. Initially holding it up, you wouldn't think it would fit me, but it is super stretchy which makes it so easy to get on and off, but also so comfortable to maneuver around in.
The shape of this dress is also so unique, and I haven't seen it before. The neckline has a sweetheart-esque shape to it, and the ruching just gives it that extra feminine touch. One part of a dress that I am always so fussy with is the sleeves, as I find nothing more irritable than something tight and suffocating around my arm. The sleeves on this are short, but they are long enough that they don't dig in anywhere and because of the material, they just sit nicely, not restriction whatsoever.
Baby pink isn't really my colour, I never think I'm feminine enough for it, but this shade of pink is a little more peachy, something I can handle. I think the colour of this dress really makes it. It's so cute, unique and perfect for spring/ summer. It is also the sort of colour that I feel like will pair nicely with loads of other colours whether that be black, blue or white. Also, the colour looks great with a tan, I found, because it is a lighter shade.
As for how I styled it, I kept it so super simple. White trainers and some sunglasses. Perfect for just walking around, doing some shopping and eating some ice cream, which was exactly what I did in this dress.

I'd love to know your thoughts on this piece as a summer staple, would you wear it? and how would you style it?
