Drugstore Products that will give you Makeup a Pop of Colour

Hi everyone,
Today I am going to be sharing with you drugstore makeup products that will give your makeup a pop of colour. Summer is the perfect time to add colour into your makeup and if it's drugstore products, you wont be breaking the bank. Enjoy!
Freedom Pro Highligher in Glow - A golden highlight, very bold but can be blended out for a more subtle look.
MUA LUXE Paradise Eye Shadow Palette - This palette includes purples, golds, coppers and pinks. They can easily be blended along the lower lash for a pop of colour.
Freedom Eye Shadow in Brights 230 - This is a beautiful duo chrome purple and blue shadow. This would look beautiful on the lid or lower lash line, this would also look beautiful on brown eyes.
Barry M Lip Liner in Coral - A beautiful bright orange lip looks amazing with a tan, definitely a must have bright lip.
MUA LUXE Velvet Lip Lacquer in Zest - Again, a very bright orange shade, perfect for summer with a golden eye.
Freedom Pro Butters Lip Gloss in Sugar Fix - This is a bright pink, would look amazing on any skin tone and because of it's blue undertone, it will make your teeth look super white.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know whether you are brave enough to wear a bright colour. Have a great day!

Beauty Haul!

Hi everyone,
For today's post I wanted to do a beauty haul. I feel like it has been a long time since I have had a proper splurge on makeup all at once so I hope you enjoy. Next week I might be posting another beauty haul as I went shopping today and bought a lot more stuff so stay tuned for that. Enjoy!

Starting off with Boots. There is finally a NYX stand in my local Boots and so I had to buy something. I picked up there Single Eye Shadow in Whipped Cream, since I now have my Z palette, I thought that this is an essential shade I must have. There single eye shadows were only £2.50 which I thought was amazing and they are very nice quality.
Last thing for NYX, I got their Matte Bronzer in Fair. Since it's summer, bronzer is a must and I thought that this would also be a good one for winter as it is in a pale shade. This is an amazing bronzer if you are fair and it was only £7, which I think is great because it comes with a goo mirror and it's super compact.
Last thing from Boots was just another repurchase, Seventeen Stay Time Concealer in Very Fair. Last time I bought this I got fair but I wanted a lighter shade to highlight with so I went for very fair this time. I love this concealer for summer as it is super moisturizing and not heavy feeling.

Now onto Superdrug, I bought the Makeup Revolution Blush Palette in Blush Goddess. It comes with four highlighters and four blushes which is amazing because it was only £6. I don't really use the highlighters but I love the blushes. I did mainly buy this palette for the blushes as they are all matte which I find very rare in drugstore blushes. Hopefully there might be a review of this very soon.
Next I went to the Miss Sporty counter which isn't a brand I have never tried but since it is super affordable I thought I would give it a go. I bought the Insta Glow Foundation in Light as I thought this would be perfect on holiday. The foundation is not great but it is nice, it's very glowy and is great for a light wash of coverage, I just hate the smell.
Again a brand I don't tend to buy from is Rimmel but I have had my eye on this concealer for a while. I have seen a few people on youtube use it as an eye base and it just looked great. It's the Lasting Finish Concealer in Porcelain, I don't really tend to use pot concealers but I am really liking this one. I don't use it so highlight as I feel like it will be too heavy but as an eye base it is beautiful. Once I have set it with a powder, it does not budge.
Last thing from Superdrug was the L'Oreal Infallible Powder in Warm Vanilla, as much as I love my Rimmel Stay Matte, I wanted a powder that was a little more compact. This one includes a mirror and sponge which is what I wanted. The powder isn't anything special, but I thought it would be good just to keep in my bag for touch ups.

Finally the last thing I bought was from Home Bargains. You all know I love my NYX jumbo eye pencils and my white one is now blunt so I needed a sharpener. I just picked one up from Home Bargains and it works great. If you have chubby pencils that need sharpening then you can get them for really cheap at Home Bargains.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know whether you would like a review of any of the products I have mentioned in this post. Have a great day!

How to Not Over Pack!

Hi everyone,
Since it is now the summer holidays in the UK, and a lot of you will be travelling to very exciting places this month, I want to share with you some of my tips when it comes to over packing. As your reading this, I will be in Italy and so I might be a little unactive for the next three weeks, but don't miss me too much, I will be back before you know it. Don't worry posts will still be going up every Tuesday, Friday and Sunday with lots of summer posts! Enjoy!

1. Lists
I am a list maker, lists just help to make me feel very organised and put together. When travelling the last thing you want to do is bring all the wrong things and forget the necessities. A few days before I begin packing, I like to make lists of what clothes, toiletries, makeup and carry on I am taking with me. This way I know what I need to buy and I can tick it off once it is packed. To-do lists are also very useful for travelling as you don't want to forget something, emails, jobs or something you will not be able to do while your away.

2. Research
Know where you are going. Look at the weather, check what you will be doing and pack your clothes and beauty products to suit that. There is no point in bringing loads of jeans and over-sized jumpers if your going somewhere that is 35 degrees. By knowing the weather and what you will be doing you can then pack what you will need.

3. Be Realistic
If your going away for 7 days there is no need bringing 10 pairs of shorts, you can re-wear clothes when your on holiday, it doesn't kill anyone. Look at it in a bigger perspective, if your going for a short trip bring a realistic amount of clothes that can mix and match. If your going on a longer holiday, bring more but not so much that you have a different outfit everyday because you are likely to re-wear lots of things.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know whether you want a part two to this post. Whether you are going on holiday or not, I hope you have a great summer and stay safe. Have a great day!

Quick and Easy Daily Makeup Tutorial

Hi everyone,
For today's post I wanted to share with you a very quick and easy makeup look which is perfect for summer as it is lightweight. In the image above, I forgot to include a lip product, but I change my lip look everyday but this look goes with everything so the lip look is optional. Enjoy!

To give our skin a bit of a pick me up a lightweight foundation is a great start. The Miss Sporty Insta Glow Foundation is super great. It gives you skin a lovely glow and even though I have oily skin it still gives my skin a healthy look. The only downside is that it has no spf in but if your moisturizer has it then it's no too bad. Anyway I put this all over my face and blend it with a buffing brush, if I am having a bad skin day I will use a little more to cover redness as this is a buildable product. Next I will powder to set it in place with the L'Oreal Infallible Powder in Warm Vanilla, since this is not translucent, I find that if I pack this on with a dense brush under my eyes it gives my eyes an extra highlight. I will also take a fluffy brush and dust a small amount all over my face. For the eyes, mascara is just essential and my favorite mascara is the Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Waterproof mascara. It holds a curl and it's waterproof which is ideal for summer. Finally for brows, keeping it simple with a tinted brow gel. The Maybelline Brow Drama is super good, it helps to give my brows a fuller look and completes the whole makeup look. As I said before you can add your own lip look to this but I think bare lips will also look very nice with this look.

I hope you enjoyed this quick and easy makeup look, let me know what your essential makeup products are in the comments. Have a great day!

Just a Ramble - What is a bikini body?

Hi everyone,
For today's post, I wanted to just have a very casual chat. Recently, I have been posting lots of beauty posts and I want to add some more variety, so here is a chatty post. Since it is summer, I wanted to talk about what a "bikini body" is. Enjoy!

To start off with I just want to get to the point, a "bikini body" does not exist. Most girls would love to have what's called a "bikini body" but what even is it?
Constantly on instagram you see girls commenting crying emojis on someones instagram, where they are in a bikini and look "perfect". Most girls ideas of a perfect body is a flat stomach, curves in all the right places and a thigh gap. I know that this doesn't apply to all girls but this is what I constantly see and it does irritate me and I'm sure a lot of other people.
The whole reason the "bikini body" photos start is because it is holiday season and some people (respect to you) have the confidence to post photos of them in a bikini. For some people it is motivation to become that little bit more confident in there bikinis but for a lot of uneducated people (no offense) they just think that by seeing this picture, they are magically going to turn into that picture.
It's good to be motivated to work hard for your desired body but don't think that by doing four crunches you are magically going to get a flat stomach. Don't think that by starving yourself it's going to make you look like that Victoria Secret model on instagram. My point is be motivated but not obsessive.
To me a "bikini body" is confidence. Bikini season is something many people dread as there body might not be looking it's best or your hips might have widened or you legs had gained a little more muscle. Whatever the problem might be, if you have that element of confidence while your wearing a bikini, you have got a "bikini body" you will look great in that bikini because you are wearing confidence.
I hope that by reading this post, a few of you have gained reassurance to prove that a "bikini body" comes from all around you, in many different shapes and styles too. Bikini season is nothing to fear, wear your swimwear in confidence!

I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know your thoughts on this topic in the comments. Have a great day!

My Everyday Summer Makeup 2016

Hi everyone,
For today's post I wanted to share with you my everyday makeup routine for summer. When it's summer, I tend to go very natural and bronzed. This is the basic routine, but sometimes I might add in a highlighter or some eyeliner, but the products in this post are what I have been wearing recently, and is my go to look. Let's begin!

I have really been enjoying the Freedom Pro Studio Fixing Spray as a primer. It makes my skin glow and it isn't as heavy as my other primers. I find that it does take a while to sink in, but I will just do my eyes to fill in the time, but for the sake of this post I will just continue with the base makeup. Once the spray has set I will then go in with the L'Oreal True Match, I tend to just use one pump and that will cover my whole face. This foundation has spf 17 in, which is great for summer, and it gives a very nice satin finish. For concealer I use the Rimmel Wake Me Up and the Collection Lasting Perfection mixed, I usually just put the concealer in the places where I highlight; under my eyes, chin, bridge of my nose and my forehead. A new step I have added into my everyday makeup routine is cream contour. I have recently been using the Maybelline Contour Stick in the places I want to sculpt. Then I will just blend that in with my foundation brush until I am happy.
I will then set that concealer with the highlight shade out of my Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour Kit. I tend to pack in on a very dense brush and almost "bake" with it. I will then set my face with the same powder but with a more fluffy brush and also wipe off the "bake". For blush I have recently been using the Natural Collection Blush in Peach Melba, it is a matte peach shade that just looks very natural on the cheeks. It goes with every makeup look and I really like the formula. Finally for bronzer I use the contour shade out of the Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour Kit, I know this shade is suppose to be used for contouring but it is a little too warm for me. I will take this on a fluffy brush and just take it around the perimeter of my face and a bit down my nose.

During summer, I like to keep my eyes pretty basic. As a base I will Take the Maybelline Colour Tattoo in Barely Beige and just put it on all over my lid. I will then pop a bit of the contour shade out of the Seventeen Define and Conquer Contour Kit in the crease and lower lash line. To brighten the eyes a little I will take the highlight shade out of the same duo on my brow bone and inner corner. To finish, I will curl my eyelashes and do a few coats of the Maybelline Colossal Go Extreme Waterproof Mascara on my upper and lower lashes.

For brows keeping it basic, I just fill in the spars areas of my brow in with the Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil and set it with the Primark Clear Brow Gel.

On an everyday basis, I will just stick to a gloss on my lips with a bit of pigment to it. My current favorite is the Victoria Secret Lip Gloss in the shade Totally Hot. It is super glossy and gives my lips a lovely pink tint.

I really hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know whether you would like these posts to be a seasonal thing. Have a great day!

Products That Deserve More Love

Hi everyone,
I have seen these posts floating around the blogging platform for a while now so I thought that I would do one myself. If your like me, and you are constantly buying new pieces of makeup, you do forget about some good products that just somehow traveled to the bottom of the draw. Today's post is just going to be a little reminder to me and maybe some of you, some products that I should use more often.

Collection Speedy Blush in Cheeky - I love cream blush, as some of you know, and I began that love with this one product. The colour is just beautiful and it is a colour that really flatters me. I think the main reason I stopped using this was because the product actually falls out so it is that little bit more messy.
Benefit Bad Gal Lash - I have had this for a while now but since getting the They're Real for Christmas I have just avoided every other Benefit mascara apart from that one. I remember loving this mascara so it is definitely one I need to add back into my everyday makeup.
Tanya Burr Hollywood Eye Palette - I bought this not so long after it came out and I remember it being my everyday eye shadow palette. The shades in it are super natural and great for a daily basis, I guess I just found other palettes but this palette does deserve more love.
Maybelline Big Eyes Mascara - Not going to lie, I have had this mascara for quite sometime but I never want to throw it away because every time I do use it I love it. The lower lash mascara is definitely worth it, I am not a fan of the upper lash side but the lower lash wand is just ideal.
Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze - Since getting my Mac painterly paint pot, I have just wandered away from my colour tattoos and forgetting about how good they are. I love using this on a daily basis all over the lid and blended into the crease. The formulation is amazing for a drugstore product, so I should really give this another go.
Benefit Benetbalm - I love love love tinted lip balms, and the Benefit balms are some of my favorites. Saying that, Benebalm is the one I always avoid. Red lips has never been something I am comfortable wearing but I guess that this product is a great way to ease into a bold lip. Since it is now summer, I think that this should get a little more love.
Maybelline Baby Lips - Talking about these makes me feel so old. I remember joining year 7 and my friend introducing me to lip balms, wow how things have changed. Anyway, since discovering EOS I have just wandered away from baby lips. Not going to lie, they are not great but they are great for on the go.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Let me know whether this has reminded you to get any of your unloved products back out again. Have a great day!

Summer Beauty Essentials!

Hi everyone,
For today's post I wanted to do something a little old school. Last year I use to do essential posts dedicated to each season and I thought I would bring it back. I kind of left out the obvious ones like sun cream and spf as they are quite self explanatory but I included products that you may not consider to be as obvious. Let's begin!

Cream Eye Shadow
We have all been there, when we have left the house in a beautiful, blended eye look and when you arrive back home it was like nothing was ever put on your lid. I know when it's hot outside I tend to stick to cream products as they last a little longer, especially when you don't have the time either! The Maybelline Colour Tattoos are some of my favorites, On and on bronze is probably my favorite shade. When I am in a rush, I just tend to apply this all over the lid with my fingers, blend out the edges, set it with a translucent powder and then I am done.

Highlighter
I mean we all love a glow, but when it's summer we all love to be beaming! When it's summer, highlighter becomes part of my daily routine as I find it just makes my skin look super healthy. The Freedom Pro Highlight in Glow is super intense, which is definitely appropriate for this season.

Tinted Lip Balm
I probably shouldn't but I do forget lip balm 90% of the time but because it is summer I need to be protecting my lips a lot more. In summer, I avoid matte lips as I find them too heavy for warmer weather. Benefit Balms are some of my favorite summer lip products as they are so hydrating and they have some beautiful colours.

Pastel Nail Polish
Pastels just scream summer, and as my clothing is very neutral, I like to bring out the colour in my nails. My current favorite nail polish is the Sinful Colours Nail Polish in Kool as a Kukumber, it is in collaboration with Kylie Jenner, and I am very impressed with the formulation.

Sea Salt Spray
My hair just lacks in volume, but by adding a little salt spray it just adds some texture into my hair. The Primark Texturing Spray is very good, but I just hate the smell. I like to add a few sprays of this into my hair when it's dry and run my fingers through it until I am happy. This gives the perfect messy hair look, it is so quick and easy to do, I love it.

Body Scrub
When it's summer, most of us tend to tan and gain a bit of a glow. By scrubbing regularly it will help to maintain the colour. My favorite scrub is the Soap and Glory Scrub Of Your Life, it does a great job at getting rid of any dead skin cells and helps to keep the tan.

Coconut Oil
I love coconut oil, there are endless amount of uses for this product and honestly, everyone should own this. You could use it as a body butter, cleanser, moisturizer, liquid highlighter, lip balm, you see what I mean? All of these uses are essentials for summer. A product like this is great for travelling and there are so many variations you can get to suit you. The one I use is the Ultrapure coconut oil.

Floral Perfume
A scent for every season is something I love to go out and hunt for. Mists, sprays, perfumes are all great for summer but my favorite perfume for summer is the New Look Pure Devotion. It's very fresh and feminine, I tend to use perfume of an evening and a mist throughout the day, so I kind of need both.

Razors
As we are all ladies here, it's worth the mention. Hair in places where we don't particularly want it, obviously everyone has there preference but I think a razor is just a basic necessity. Obviously if you don't want to start shaving don't feel pressure, but as it is getting hotter, the legs are out, bikinis are on so a good shave wouldn't kill anyone.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know what your number one essential is in the comments. Have a great day!

Lush Mask Of Magnaminty Review!

Hi everyone,
For today's post I wanted to review a skincare product. Skincare isn't something I mention a lot on my blog but I do want to make my reviews on not just makeup. Lush is a shop that I do love to go and have a little look in but I never really buy much from there (apart from Christmas), so when I went in last month I was determined to buy something. I have heard a lot of mixed reviews on Lush's face masks but I wanted to give them a go myself. I hope you enjoy this review. Let's begin!

Packaging
I love the packaging of this product, it is super simple and basic, which I like. The lid is very secure and the information is very easy to find.

Lush Says
"A multi-purpose mask with a mixture of gentle yet effective ingredients to clean, calm and clear the skin. Easily smoothed over the skin, this mask is made with peppermint oil to stimulate, marigold oil and chlorophyllin to treat the skin; evening primrose seeds and aduki beans to gently exfoliate as you remove it. You can use this mask anywhere."

First Impressions
After using it for the first time I was impressed. I found applying it a little messy but I washed my hands straight after and everything was okay. I left it on for 10 minutes and it was completely set, the green pigment of the mask became a bit more subtle once it had dried. My skin felt tight when the mask was dry but once I had rinsed it off, my skin felt great. I just carried on with my regular skincare routine and all was good. My skin felt so soft afterwards and it has definitely helped my acne.

Final Thoughts
I love this product and I will probably repurchase it, when it runs out. This product is such a treat, it gives the skin a great exfoliate and cleanse. I love the way it makes my skin feel and I honestly cannot doubt this product. For a mud mask I find it simple to remove and it really helps to calm my breakouts and redness. I have quite oily skin and it does a great job at controlling it but I think if you have dry, then this isn't the face mask for you. It can make your skin feel very tight and it does take out a lot of the access oil on your skin.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments whether you have tried this product and whether you like it. Have a great day!

June Favorites!

Hi everyone,
I know everyone says this, but how can it already be July? June was quite the month for me, I had all of my exams that I somehow did well in and the school year is beginning to come to the end. Anyway I have made quite a few new discoveries this month so let's begin!

Makeup
Maybelline Master Contour Stick - I am not going to ramble on about this too much as there is a review of this already up on my blog (linked here). The contour side of this product has been part of my daily makeup routine recently and I love the natural effect it gives.
Benefit Goof Proof Brow Pencil - Again, there is a review of this already up (linked here) so if you want more detail, you can go and check that out. I have been using this when I just want a super quick and natural looking brow. I am very impressed with this product, so I might have to repurchase the full size.
Victoria Secret Lip Gloss in Totally Hot - Recently glossy lips has just been my thing. Whenever I am wearing glossy lips, it's this gloss, it gives your lips such a wet look with a slight tint of colour. I have had lots of compliments when I wear this as well so it's definitely a keeper!

Skincare/ Body Care
Garnier Micellar Water - This month I have been super lazy with my skin to the point where going to the bathroom to rise my face is too much effort (bad I know!), but I mean it's okay because this product has been a lifesaver. I was never a big an of this product when it first came out, but I pulled it out of my draw the other day and gave it another go. It is super quick and refreshing to use in the morning.
Lush Mask of Magnaminty - This mask is my lifesaver, I discovered it this month and it's safe to say that I am obsessed. I use this 2 to 3 times a week (maybe even 4) and it does a great job at deep cleaning my skin. My skin always feels so soft after using this and it is now a crucial part of my skincare routine.
The Body Shop Shea Body Butter - This product has been sitting in my draws for so long and so when it was time to choose a new body butter, I chose this. It is super thick and just melts onto my skin. I am quite lazy when it comes to moisturizing but this product keeps my skin super soft for days. The scent is very light and fresh that I really like because it is not too overpowering.
Victoria Secret Sheer Love Body Spray - This is definitely my summer scent, it's so girly and fresh. It isn't the most long lasting scent but I just love it way to much to even care. I only have the mini size so hopefully I can pick up the full size, as I don't want it to run out.

Music
All of these songs I have been loving recently...
Superstitious - MKTO
God Only Knows - MKTO
Tears - Clean Bandit ft. Louisa Johnson
Can't Stop The Feeling - Justin Timberlake
Rock Your Body - Justin Timberlake
Toothbrush - DNCE
Young Girls - Bruno Mars
I Found A Girl - The Vamps
Kill Em With Kindness - Selena Gomez

Films/TV/Books
Teen Wolf - OMG do not even get me started, this TV series is everything! I am so sad that only two seasons of it are on Netflix, I am addicted. The concept of the show is so interesting and all the actors are amazing. Also Dylan O'Brien is in it, so I mean, how can it get any better?
Love Island - If you have not heard of this, have you been living under a rock? I do love good reality tv, and this is just great. My favorite couple is definitely Cara and Nathan, but I am a few episodes behind so please, no spoilers.

I hope you enjoyed this post, let me know in the comments what you have been loving this month. Have a great day!
