November Favourites!

Another month has gone by and so here comes another favourites. I hope you enjoy, it is a little mix of everything.

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation - For once I have not been constantly using my True Match and I have rediscovered this one. This foundation does make me work because it doesn't match my skin tone perfectly but it looks fine. The coverage is lovely and it really helps to even out my skin, I also love the finish, it's super dewy and it makes my skin look super healthy.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Fawn Power - Since it is now winter I have been loving contouring on a regular. This is the only powder I tend to use because it is the perfect colour to create a shadow. The formulation of the powder is beautiful, the perfect mixture of pigment and blend-ability.

Freedom Duo Brow Powder - Recently I have been loving the softer brow look and this brow powder duo helps me create that look. I love the lighter colour for the front of my brows and the darker one for the end of my brows. I find that the colour matches me perfectly and it lasts a long time.

Too Faced Melted Chocolate Lipstick in Chocolate Milkshake - Every time I have worn this I have had none stop complements. This is my perfect nude colour and I love the finish, it's not matte, it has a slight sheen to it. Definitely been a staple lip this month.

Nivea Micellar Water - I have loved this since the start of this month, I think this has actually replaced my Garnier one, I find that packaging a lot better and I think the actual water is a lot better. This helps take my makeup off instantly and I use it every single day, I don't think my routine will be the same without it.

One Direction Perfume - I don't know what it is about this scent but I love it. It's sweet and fresh and I love to use it on a daily basis. It is not too overwhelming and it lasts a long time on my skin.

Herbal Essences Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner - We all know about how much I love Herbal Essence's haircare and this is no exception. I have noticed my hair becoming very dry recently so I wanted to try out their hydrating range. Honestly, I have noticed such a difference, my hair looks so shiny and healthy, and it also smells of coconut which I love.

Bruno Mars 24K Magic Album - Few more random things now but I'm sure you all saw it coming. I have been obsessed (and I mean obsessed) with Bruno's album It is insane. Each and every song has something so unique about it, the style is very modern but it has got aspects from the past in it too. Most songs are very upbeat and catchy my favourites have to be Finesse and Straight up & Down.

Mic Lowrey Oh Lord - As well as Bruno's album this song has been at the top of my favourites list. I don't really know how I discovered it but I am so glad I did. The song is so catchy and it is so unique. If you haven't already given it a listen I highly suggest you do, I am definitely looking into listening to more of their music.

I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here - Who can't put this in their favourites this month, the show is honestly brilliant. If you haven't been watching it, you are missing out big time. My favourites so far are Adam, Joel and Scarlett and if you have been watching the show comment who your routing for.

What have you been loving this month?

Thank You For 2 Years!

Honestly, I never thought that I would ever say, today, November 23rd 2016, I have been writing my blog for two years. Two years, I started my blog on Sunday, 23rd November 2013, I was only 12 and had no idea on where it would take me. I thought today I would write a bit of an appreciation post.

If you have been here since the beginning you will remember my old name "Gracesss" I have no idea why I thought that was a good name, but I did have it for about 9 months but not going to lie, I'm glad I changed it. I remember the day I started my blog, like it was yesterday, it was a Sunday afternoon and I was bored out of my mind. At this point, I had a slight obsession with Youtube and I had considered starting a blog, but I spontaneously started it on this day, with no intentions of carrying it on, I just wanted a space online were I could talk about the random-est of things and anyone could read. I remember signing up to my Gmail account and being so excited to start something new. As soon as I got my Gmail account, I went straight to blogger and started designing my first page. Sadly I don't have a photo of it anymore, but let's just say it was extremely basic. I then wrote my first blog post, introducing everyone to my blog (link is here if you still want to read it). I was honestly so excited to see where blogging would take me.

After setting up my blog, I just started writing blog posts, taking pictures of beauty products but I wasn't educated what so ever on the blogging world. I did not know any bloggers until a few months after I started, I also didn't have any social media to help promote my blog posts at all. In about January I finally made a blog instagram and it was one of my best decisions, I love my Instagram so much and it goes hand in hand with my blog. Since having an Instagram and later, Twitter, I have had constant love from all of you lovely readers.

Since having my blog, I have learnt so much, about myself, blogging and beauty. I never intend my blog to last this long, or have lots of amazing readers but I honestly don't know where I would be if I didn't have my blog. I am so passionate about the things I talk about and I probably don't say it enough, but I am so grateful to have an amazing community of people (too many to name, but you all know who you are) who support me and love what I do!
It makes me so happy when I get lovely comments or dms telling me how much you all love my blog, or the photos I take or the things I talk about. I am so glad I found people who have the same passion as me, who have the same ambitions as me and I could not thank the blogging community enough for helping me get where I am right now, or for pushing me and encouraging me when things got low. I am honestly so lucky!

I hope to keep writing my blog for many more years to come, I hope to meet more bloggers and readers so we can talk and share our loves, I also hope you reading this right now continue to love what I do and do nothing but spread positivity on these platforms.
Last but not least, I would just like to say thank you!

Shoes of the Season!

I don't know about you but I have been crushing on knee high boots since forever, and now I actually own some. Today I just thought I would share with you my current fashion obsession.

On Instagram and Pinterest I constantly see beautiful outfit ideas and they always include knee high boots, always! One day when my family decided to have a walk around Cheshire Oaks, I found out they opened a new Kurt Geiger so me being the shopaholic I am, I walked straight in and there was a huge sale.
As soon as I entered I saw some beautiful knee boots that I just instantly fell in love with, even my dad loved them. So after trying on a few sizes, my parents very kindly treated me to a pair of tan knee high boots. I am slightly obsessed with them and I think they are just so beautiful. They cost £100 but because of the sale they were £79 which I thought was not bad at all and I know I am going to get a lot of wear out of them.
In case you are interested here is the link to my exact pair, they are the Harrison boots in Tan, https://www.kurtgeiger.com/women/shoes/boots/knee-boot/harrison-tan-synthetic-miss-kg. The one thing I would say is that, if you were going to get these boots, get them in a size higher than your normal size so they fit nicely.
I am slightly tempted to do a styling knee boots post so let me know whether you would like to see that.

How would you style knee high boots?

Chatty Pamper Routine!

Autumn is the season were I constantly makeup excuses to pamper myself, so I though today was only right to share with you what I do on a pamper routine.

Most of you might already know this, but I can't pamper myself unless I feel as though I deserve it. That means normally the first thing I do is something that needs to be done. It could be anything from homework, to blog posts, to chores, to even shopping but at least I do something so I can justify pampering myself.

I am not the biggest bath person, I would much rather have a shower than have a bath so even if I am pampering myself, I will just have a shower. When I am in the shower I will normally do everything I need to, wash my hair, shave, wash my body, exfoliate, cleanse and anything else. I love having long showers, just to have some me time, and time to think (about literally everything).

Once I am out of the shower, the first thing I will do is play some music, it could be anything depending on my mood. I will throw on some super cosy pyjamas, moisturize my body, put some oil in my hair and allow it to air dry, then I will prepare a face mask. I am constantly forgetting to use my face masks but when I do use them, I can tell such a difference. I will just do that and then while the mask is drying, I will paint my nails, file them, cut them and then do my toes and at this point my mask will be ready to take off. After I have rinsed the mask off, I will just continue with the rest of my skincare.

Now I am all healthy on the outside, I will take care of my insides. I have usually had my dinner before I begin pampering myself so there is room for desert at this point. Sometimes I will just have a hot chocolate or maybe some ice cream depending on what I fancy, but a hot chocolate with whipped cream and marshmallows usually sounds ideal. While I am just finishing desert, I will finish off some internet stuff and once that is done, I can fully relax.

At this point, I am sort of tired and ready to wind down. On a pamper routine I will read a book over watching a film because I am usually staring at my laptop during the day most of the time anyway so of an evening I always try to read. This just ends the evening perfectly and soon after reading, I will just doze off to bed.

What do you do on a pamper routine?

10 Favourite Things About Autumn/ Winter!

I don't know about you, but I flippin' love autumn and winter, it could potentially be my favourite time of the year. Anyway I thought I would share some of my love for autumn and winter in this post!

1. Christmas
How could I not mention Christmas? Obviously as it gets into the colder seasons Christmas isn't too far away. I love Christmas a lot as every is just so happy and the atmosphere is just amazing. I thought I might as well mention that this year I am doing Blogmas once again, so you can look forward to daily posts from me during the build up to Christmas.

2. Layering
I love autumn/ winter fashion in general fur, checks, scarves, grey, maroon, all of it but my favourite is layering. Wearing several things at once can look super trendy but it keeps you super warm at the same time. Every year I look forward to the autumn and winter collections because I think that it is the best part of the year for fashion.

3. Matte Lips
Again, I love the makeup trends during autumn and winter to but the best one for me is the matte lips. Usually I love a glossy/ wet lip look but in the colder months I just constantly wear a matte. There is something about matte lips that I find super autumnal but I love it.

4. Darker nights
I know a lot of people don't like the darker nights (including my parents) but I love them. When I walk home from school it is already so dark and there is something about it I find super comforting. One of the reasons I love it though, is the fact I can go to bed earlier and wake up later until it is brightening up which allows me to get more sleep.

5. Cosy nights in
I love to be in the comfort of my own home, wrapped in a blanket, drinking a hot chocolate and watching TV, in summer I never have night in, I am always out doing stuff but autumn and winter allow me to have a lot more chill time.

6. I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here
This is my all time favourite reality TV program, it's so good! It is really exciting when I'm a Celeb starts because it is just that extra step closer to Christmas. If you have never watched I'm a Celeb before, you should give it a go. When I am having my cosy nights in, this is what I am usually watching and it starts this weekend, I am so excited!

7. Festive shopping
Shopping is one of my all time favourite things to do but when it is autumn/ winter shopping, or even better, Christmas shopping, it is ten times better. I am one of those people that could spend hours shopping and Christmas shopping is my favorite things to do during the colder seasons. I love walking around the shops with warm doughnuts in my hand, lights all around and deciding what to get everyone. Not going to lie, I don't really like the spending money part though.

8. Hot chocolate
I cannot drink hot chocolate when it's not autumn or winter, it feels too wrong but when it is cold again outside, it's all I drink. With whipped cream, marshmallows and chocolate chips it's my favourite hot drink.

9. Starting a new year
I love change, not so much that I do it on a weekly basis but enough that I don't get bored. A new year is always a great thing for me because I love a fresh start, a clean slate and a new beginning. Not going to lie, I don't celebrate new years in any interesting way, usually just a home and I fall asleep before midnight but the idea behind it, I love.

10. Cold Mornings
In my opinion, it's better to be too cold then too hot just because it is a lot easier to solve. I love my cold mornings, when it is frosty, I have a hot chocolate (can you tell I really like them?), and I am covered in scarves, tights and fluffy jumpers. Again, I just feel super cosy when it's cold even though it can be a pain sometimes, cold mornings are amazing.

What do you love about autumn/ winter?

My First Luxury Makeup Purchase!

I am not one to fork out on luxury products very often but this was an occasion. While I was in London last weekend, my granddad very kindly gave me some money to spend and so I thought I would treat myself to my first ever luxury makeup product.

Charlotte Tilbury is a brand that always captures my eye, the packaging is so beautiful and you constantly hear great things about her products. Well, I was in Selfridges just browsing the makeup counters one minute, and then the next I was at the till paying for a £23 lipstick. This is probably my most spontaneous purchase ever, but I am so in love, so I thought I would share it with you today.

Not going to lie I had no intention on buy this lipstick, at all! I heard great things about the formula and all that but I wasn't ready to pay £23 for a lipstick. I had seen the shade Amazing Grace before and didn't really think much of it, it was not very me and I thought I wouldn't wear it. Saying that, I am one of those people who loves anything with there name on it. Therefore when I was in London, I picked up the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in the shade Amazing Grace.

You shouldn't really buy a £23 lipstick just for the name but even though I did, I still really like the colour. The colour is a dark pink, which is very out of my comfort zones, because we all know I love a good nude but never the less, I think I am going to get a lot of wear out of it. I have worn it a few times and I am head over heels in love with the formula. It is matte so the pigment is out of this world, you get an even layer in one swipe, but it is so comfortable and creamy on the lips, it feels like your wearing a thick lip balm. Since it is matte, the colour lasted such a long time but when it did fade, it was even and still looked great.

You have probably seen how beautiful the packaging of these lipsticks are online, but they are even more beautiful in person. It is a beautiful rose gold tube, with the "CT" sign engraved on the lid with the shade name on the bottom. So much thought must have gone into the design of these lipsticks because even the shape of the bullet is made so that it can be applied really precisely and easily.

I hope in the future I can get some more of these because I am totally in love with this one. Do you own any lipsticks from Charlotte Tilbury?
