MUA 15 Shade Fire Vixen Eye Shadow Palette Review!

I shared a photo of this palette on my Instagram (@Gracexkate) and you all wanted to see a review so I hope you enjoy. This is the MUA 15 Shade Palette in Fire Vixen and I think that this is pretty new so I wanted to share my thoughts on it with you today.
MUA recently released a few of these 15 shade palettes, six to be exact and I picked up one after seeing the incredible shade range. These retail for a shocking £5, which is pretty unbelievable and I got one in the shade Fire Vixen. You all know what I go for in eye shadow, warm pinks and browns so this palette was basically scream my name. As always, I have linked where I bought this from but you can get these from either Superdrug or Tam Beauty.
Starting with packaging, it is super simple just with a clear lid with the branding and shades/ information on the back. The shades are arranged in three rows of five and the pan size is fairly big. The palette is super slim and compact, obviously a mirror would be nice, but I don't think that it is essential in an eye shadow palette.
For shade range, this is why I bought the palette, it caught my eyes immediately. I love the range of warm mauves and pinks, mixing it in with some super metallic pinks and browns. My favourites are the pops of grey they added, you don't see true grey shades like this in a palette and truthfully, I think that they would be so flattering. You also have to love the pop of pink and orange in this palette, the hot pink just screams summer and I cannot wait to play with that shade some more. As well as all of these unusual and fun colours, it still manages to be wearable and you can create endless natural and dramatic looks with this palette. I will say that the only shade I think that it is missing is a dark black or chocolate brown but I can look past that.
What I thought was super cool of MUA was that this palette seems to contain some new formulas, a foiled finish eye shadow formula which is incredible. Foiled eye shadow has became a proper trend over the past few years and I really love how such an affordable brand like MUA have recreated this finish and done it well. Obviously this palette contains a whole mixture of finishes, some mattes and some foils which just gives the perfect variety. I particularly love the foiled eye shadows because they come in some really great colours and they have such a beautiful metallic finish to them, but I will talk about their formula some more after the next photo
As I was saying, the foiled eye shadows are beautiful. They are super pigmented as you can see by the swatches, they feel super creamy and they pick up really well on the brush. They are quite powdery when swatched and do provdie a little fall out when packed onto the lid but that is totally acceptable with the amount of pigmentation you get. The finish is so beautiful, so reflective and super metallic. Honestly, one of the best eye shadow formulas from the drugstore but if you can't deal with fallout then sadly this might not be for you. Saying that, I found that the fallout were not to hard remove at all, even after face makeup, so maybe that is something to keep in mind. Swatching these shades, they feel like butter, super beautiful and the blend nicely too.
The mattes again are super pigmented, you can determine that from the swatches. They are very smooth and creamy to apply, they blend out really nicely on the eyes and they are not patchy either. I do find that sometimes some mattes can come up quite sheer on the eyes, but they are super easy to build up and layer so I don't really mind that too much. Definitely a very impressive formula.
Overall, I am totally head over heels in love with this palette. I definitely think that it is one for the summer season but even some of the shades could be used come autumn winter time. The colour scheme and formula, I think, are good for beginner just to give them a variety of colours and finishes. I will definitely continue to use this and maybe create some really fun looks with it. Let me know if you would want to see that!

Do you like the colour scheme of this palette?
