Day 18: Early Christmas Present, First Impressions!

Since there is only a week left of Blogmas, I am starting to get a little stuck for ideas, so I would love it if you commented some requests down below. Anyway, today I wanted to share with you what my two closest friends bought me for Christmas.

My little friendship groups consists of three of us, me, Penny and Sophie. All of their links will be left at the end of this post just in case you want to check them out. We decided that this year we were going to do joint presents which I have done a few times and they all went successfully. Penny and I bought for Sophie, Sophie and I bought for Penny and Penny and Sophie bought for me. We did have a rough budget of £20 but we all sort of went over which was fine. I know I will get a lot of comments saying why we didn't open them on Christmas day but that is just because we wouldn't see each other so we thought it would be best to do it in school.

They did buy me the Too Faced Sweetheart Blush in Candy Glow, I sort of had an incline that they would buy me this just because I always go to looks at it whenever we are in a Debenhams. I am just going to get straight into the first impressions.

I have only had this for a few days so none of my opinions are set in stone yet, but I have gathered a few of my thoughts on the product. You can probably see in the photos, but you cannot deny that the packaging of this beautiful. I love the pink and gold together and the fact that it's in the shape of a heart just makes it super cute and fun. This probably isn't a blush for travelling just because it is in cardboard packaging and it is quite chunky but I can see myself reaching for this a lot while I am at home.

After swatching it, the powder itself felt beautiful to touch, there was no kickback and it was even. The colours are not very pigmented individually I found, which is why I didn't swatch them individually, but all together they create a beautiful light pink shade. If you know me, you know that I love a subtle blush so something that isn't too pigmented is what I tend to lean towards, and the colours of this is definitely up my street. Saying that I tend to wear matte blush but this is a great product to get me out of that rut.

When I first applied it to my cheeks, I found that the best way to get the most pigment was to use an angled brush, from looking at the brush it seemed to pick up a lot of the pigment but putting it on the cheeks just gave it a little pop of colour to my cheeks. It was nothing too harsh which I like and it gave me a nice glow, I think that certain shades of this would work nicely as a highlighter and I also think this product would be great to use on the body, to enhance certain features.

Overall I am very happy with this product and I feel super lucky to have great friends that would treat me to things like this, so thank you to Penny and Sophie. I also think that I will get a lot of use out of this and it could become a favourite once I have tried it out some more.

What have you tried from Too Faced?
